Privacy
Deliberate is files-first. The context and artifacts it creates remain in the project unless you or another tool move them elsewhere.
Model processing
Section titled “Model processing”Deliberate does not run a model or send prompts itself. Your agent harness controls model execution, authentication, retention, and network access. Review that provider’s policies before adding sensitive sources.
Deliberate never asks you to paste passwords, tokens, API keys, connection strings, cookies, OAuth grants, refresh tokens, service-account keys, or private keys into chat. Credentials remain in the provider CLI cache, OS keychain, harness connector, environment or secret store, workload identity, or another provider-approved credential chain. Project files may contain only access instructions safe for that repository, such as a provider, preferred API/query/export, read-only scope, safe account context, or non-secret credential-handle name.
Project data
Section titled “Project data”Files added as sources may be read by the harness when it performs a Deliberate workflow. Apply your repository’s access controls and do not register secrets or regulated data unless the chosen harness and project are approved for it.
Sonorance
Section titled “Sonorance”Sonorance reads the local project to render artifacts and persist review feedback. It is a viewing and review feature, not a hosted Deliberate data service.
Anonymous product telemetry
Section titled “Anonymous product telemetry”Privacy-first, anonymous usage telemetry is on by default. Sonorance records only allow-listed feature usage, performance measurements, and redacted error classes so the product can improve. It never logs project, file, or folder names; file contents; titles; paths; prompts; completions; error messages; or stack traces.
Turn telemetry off at any time in Sonorance Settings or set SONORANCE_TELEMETRY=off. Plugin installation runs no Deliberate code and sends no Deliberate telemetry. To opt out before the first workflow, start Copilot with:
